Kayla Caffrey, 16, is a junior at a Performing Arts
Academy. She has been a vocalist since the age of seven. Kayla
was a finalist in the NJ 101.5 FM Radio
Big Joe Jersey Talent Show the past three years. She has won many
competitions including the Toms River Fest "Ocean Star" contest
and Mix 102.7 Talent Show, and performed in countless local theatre
productions. In the summer of 2005, she was the opening
act for KC and the Sunshine Band at Great Adventure.
In 2004, Kayla appeared as a featured extra in the
WB's television series, Summerland,
with Jessie McCartney and has also done some print and television
commercial work.
Kayla's passion is songwriting. She is currently working
on songs for a demo. Her first single, "In
Her Smile", written about her sister who has autism is scheduled
to be released in late October.
In her spare time, Kayla enjoys listening to other artists who
write their own songs such as Teddy
Gieger.
